Different shaders for different renderers

Does anyone have a super solution for multiple shaders on the same object for different renderers? i.e. openglRop, redshiftRop and MantraRop. I'm currently thinking of using Takes.

Takes and dependent ROPs should make it one click once you get to render. There would be other ways to change the material paths, maybe using a wedge rop, but not sure about changing which ROP to render it with.
