Animatect 0 Posted March 2, 2018 Hi, I'm starting to do some flip fluids and I would like to be able to art direct them better, in the example I've attached, the fluids have a lot of art direction, they don't even collide but move like controlled by blendshapes. I can drive the fluids by custom forces and modify their behavior, but I'm having trouble getting an initial shape like that, with the wide leading end and then a flat stream, can anyone sugest a way to get something similar? thank you in advance. Atom 1,206 Posted March 2, 2018 (edited) You can always use a simple long thin box in another fluid sim to generate the first initial shape. Export that as mesh and sculpt it into a closer representation of your starting form. Then import the sculpted frame for use as a fluid from object for your final sim. ap_starter_flip_long_strip.hiplc Edited March 2, 2018 by Atom
Atom 1,206 Posted March 2, 2018 Drop in a sphere as a collider to pre-shape it even more.
