Frei Otto edge bundling algorithm?

Recommended Posts

I cannot stop looking at this effect and I know they sell it as an asset but rather then buying an asset I would like to understand and learn how to build it from scratch

Does anybody have any great ideas or links to guide me from here or perhaps has a setup I could look into?

I would love to experiment with this one.

Thanks for your help.

Hey Thank you a lot for this, I have studied both videos you have sent me and have managed to build out what Junichiro did in his great tutorial video.

Alot of his vex parts are complex and confusing for me, He goos over alot without explaining it but then again that would take a long time to explain in depth what each line of vex code is doing.

How would I go from here in order to recreate the effect I send closer, the wires in the product look more elastic and have lines in between the lines to make it look like strings are connected in between.

Not fully understand what you mean with apply the superforumla to the solver? could you explain this too a bit please?

You have amazing work by the way! I'm sure you can help me out further as you mastered this technique.
