Procedurally flattening the bottom of a sphere

How to procedurally flatten the bottom of a sphere. Just an idea can be very helpful here. I have been trying bbox (min, max y-components) in a vop over points, haven't been able to achieve.

For example in an attribute wrangle sop:

float value = ch("value");
if(@P.y < value) @P.y = value;

then click the button and use the "value" parameter.
