NoobQuestion: Materialising RippleSolverOutcome?

Hi,

I am almost embarrassed to ask, but I can't seem to figure it out.

I thought I knew how to use dopImports with particle and volumetric fluids, however I cannot figure out how to get them to work with the ripple solver. Or is there another workaround needed for this.

Could somebody please point me in the right direction?

BTW sorry for posting it here and at the SideFX forum, just need to get it done and haven't got much response there yet.

Off the top of my head, you can use an Object Merge SOP and do the following:

/obj/name_of_dopnet:ripple_object_name/Geometry

If you create a Geometry Object & use the shelf to make it a RBD Object, you should get the correct syntax in the DOP Import SOP.

thanks mate, works like a charm!!! I tried the object merge before but I guess I must have had the syntax wrong (how & wherever that would have been possible :P)
