pclaes Posted October 12, 2010 Share Posted October 12, 2010 Hi, I've been working towards getting more information out there in regards to the HDK and specifically VRAYprocedurals as I think they are quite powerful. I'm not a programmer but I enjoy the tech side and wanted to be able to create a whole bunch of delayed loads at rendertime without having to write all that information in the ifd. Therefore I started work on my own instancer. Inspired by some of the example files and Mark's clusterThis procedural I gave it a go. This is a very early release of my code and a lot of things are not fully working yet. But some things are and I think people can already use it as another example to learn from: http://www.peterclaes.be/blog/?p=151 I'll be putting more examples online and keep working on the code in my spare time. Just wanted to share it really as others have shared for my benefit too. And if some coders out there see some really obvious (big) mistakes (like memory leaks or other things like that) by all means point it out and suggest a better way . Hope it helps!
