luke Posted March 11, 2011 Share Posted March 11, 2011 Job Title: Senior Houdini Arist Side Effects Software seeks an experienced Houdini artist or technical director for an exciting new project. Primary Tasks - To create highly reusable, production-ready effects assets and rigged models. - To help decide which assets to build based on their value to Houdini users. - Possibly, to manage a small team of less experienced Houdini artists to build the assets. Required Skills - Are skilled both artistically and with the technical aspects of CG. - Have a thorough understanding of Houdini and years of experience with it. - Have a proven ability to produce high-quality final output. - Have broad knowledge of as many areas of 3D as possible. - Are highly motivated, independent, flexible, creative, and a strong problem solver. Bonus Skills - Modelling experience is a plus. - Experience rigging and animating characters in Houdini is a plus. - Experience programming in Python is a plus. Location - Side Effects Software's head office in Toronto, Canada. Timeline - Permanent full time or one-year renewable contract, starting as soon as possible.
