FX SUPERVISOR Guru Studio's dedicated team is passionate about bringing inspired character driven stories to screens around the world. Our award winning and internationally renowned Toronto animated entertainment company is looking for an FX Supervisor Responsibilities: Seeks out efficient ways to work Develops reusable FX assets and workflows Integrates FX assets in pipeline Identifies new technologies to optimize production Identifies and breakdowns FX shots based on leica Assigns tasks, reviews shots and gives feedback to FX team Prepares review material for Director Ensures deadlines are met Communicates risks and challenges to Production May be required to complete shot work A good sense of timing in animation for FX Mentors team Qualifications: 3+ years of as FX lead or Supervisor in television or film with demonstrated leadership qualities Experience developing a new pipeline In depth knowledge of Maya Dynamics and rigging tools, Houdini or FumeFX In depth knowledge of rendering and compositing strategies with Mental Ray, Vray and Nuke To Apply: Please email resumes and links to blogs, portfolios or reels (Vimeo preferred) to: hireme@gurustudio.com with Surfacing Artist in the subject line.
