static
So I have a pyro object, a light casting depth map shadows, and a grid I want to cast shadows onto. The goal is to isolate the cast shadows in a render. I was thinking the workflow would simply be: 1. apply Shadow Matte to grid and render. 2. render out smoke alpha (Asmoke) and use that as a matte to occlude the smoke from the shadow matte render. Sounds simple enough but I'm having issues with my grid coming out completely white when I have shadow amount set to 1. I figured it was being caused by the light so I disabled it in the grid's light mask but I'm still having issues. Could someone shed some light on the situation? A bare bones example of a light, pyro object, and a grid would be more than enough to wrap my head around this. Thanks.
