Ponge Posted May 8, 2010 Share Posted May 8, 2010 I've baked out a pyro fireball sim that I'm quite happy with and want to place it into my scene. I've done this by loading in the geometry using a DOP I/O and then moving the object in worldspace to the location I require (about 300x300 units away from the origin) and scaling it up by a factor of 20. Now when I try to render it is a lot slower than it was previously, so I tried increasing the volume step size to 2 (a increase by a factor of 20) and it still renders much slower than it was when I rendered it at the world origin and with a lower quality. Does anyone have any ideas on how I could increase the performance in this scene? Or possible reasons why the simulation is rendering much slower than it was previously.
