Theis J
Hi there, I have decided to make a simple modeling tutorial for beginners every month. My first tutorial has the purpose to give an understanding in polyextrude. Criticism or comments are welcomed, so I can improve on the next one. You can see the tutorial here(pdf-file) http://procedural.files.wordpress.com/2010/08/how_to_make_a_spaceship_in_houdini.pdf Cheers - Theis
clown
Pretty nice for a very beginner tutorial, it's like the 3d buzz fundamentals "jet" but better. I'd love to see a slightly more advanced modeling tutorial, they are rather difficult to find for Houdini. So far I've mostly been resorting to using tutorials for other apps and then fighting with Houdini to figure out the equivalent modeling tools i need to use, and the equivalent way of using them in Houdini. As for the tutorial itself, It was well made, certainly easy to understand all the steps, and no steps are skipped. Its pretty basic so there isn't much else to say. Definatly good for someone who had just gone through the 3d buzz fundamentals and wants to build a slightly more complex jet/plane/spaceship. U12 Multimedia
Thanks for the tutorial. A monthly or even occasional modeling tutorial would be most welcome! I found this one to be very clear and well written. Cheers! LarryW
