MsX
Hey guys... I'm completely new to Houdini, and I was wondering how you can duplicate an object along a curve? Thanks in advance
pclaes
Like yourself there are many others new to houdini that want to do this. As this is a common thing to try and do, I would recommend performing a search here on odforce or on sidefx for: "copy" "curve" There is actually a tutorial on the sidefx website that shows you how to do this: http://www.sidefx.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1242&Itemid=255 Most likely this is using it as well: http://cg.tutsplus.com/tutorials/houdini/3d_cg_houdini_sidefx_modeling_asset_vfx_workflow_autofence1/ Edited October 1, 2010 by pclaes
tony
Check out this file: duplicateAlongCurve.hip It copies the object to every point on the curve, so if you want to change the amount of objects, just put a resample in after the curve1 node.
