borisb2
Is it possible to "release" particles after they have been collided with a surface? For example I want to stick particles to an animated character, but if $LIFE > .75 I want to release the particles so that they can be affected by gravity again. Is that possible? Thanks. Hi, borisb2, you may use the state operator to release the particles. I have attached a houdini 11 file to demonstrate this idea, did you mean it ? cheers particleRelease.hipnc

pclaes
I've recently put an example up on sidefx doing the same kind of thing. The state pop will do it for you . http://www.sidefx.com/index.php?option=com_forum&Itemid=172&page=viewtopic&p=97495#97495
