Tannins
I've got a tire that I've applied a group for the tire treads and then a uv project (to the tire treads group) and a material to that. I seem to get a great shot in the viewport, but in the render I don't get anything? Any suggestions?
Macha
You don't have a material assigned to it a level higher up? The texture map is assigned in the material shader as well?

Yeah the texture is assigned in the shader it is really strange. I don't have the material assigned to it at a higher level because the whole file is quite large so I tried to organize it in subnetworks. I tried assigning a Material at a higher level and there was no difference. I tried using a shader node instead of a material node and it works fine (except I get a little warning on the node saying that "this SOP is depricated in favour of the material SOP")! That was driving me nuts.
