TheUsualAlex
they used a lattice and slapped vectors on top to direct the flow of particles in addition to their flocking sysem AI, so the resulting motion would take both into account! (or soemthing like that ) a REALLY cool system.... Dang!! Using lattice to control the particle system is an idea that has NEVER entered my mind! THANKS, Ch.... umm... Sirogi! I've gotta look into that! Ok.. well... I guess it sort of have entered my mind in the sense of using the geometry's point as a particle system, but just not from the POP network stand point. Or may be I just need to go to sleep...
TheUsualAlex
on second thought.... may be it isn't the best way... I mean... depending on how the lattice is set up, of course.
sirogi
again...by "lattice", I meant to give a description for the vector field method that was described in the paper.....Craig got it all covered... I'll go in my corner and shut uup now... PS: it's NOT using the lattice in the traditional way to "deform" particles...if that's what you thought...I'm sorry, only say half of my thoughts...
