Annon
I'm interested in creating some sort of falling glitter effect. I've been told that setting a particles normal to velocity would do the trick. My question is, using the velocity, how would I Render a sparkle to flash brightly when it's facing the camera for instance. Imagine glitter is falling in front of the camera. The particles would shimmer, flashing on and off as they fell. I'm presuming this is something to do with just increasing the $CD when normal is facing camera, but just wondering if anyone has done anything like this before with a bit more complexity and has a scene a can take a scan at. Macha
This should give you a start. The idea is to animate normals. Make sure they are in the -1,1 range. glitter.hipnc
