simayi
Hi, I'm trying to create a digital asset from a sub-network in houdini. What I would like to do is to display one of the node in sub-network as a guide geo in wireframe when that digital asset is selected but not use it for rendering. e.g. if you create a break SOP, it displays a cutting grid in blue wireframe which I assume is showing CUTTER_GUIDE inside. I read the Digital Assets section in the manual and it shows you how to create a handle but couldn't find section about how to display a guide geo. it would be great if you someone can point me in the right direction please. Thank you very much,
graham
The guide geometry is available for SOP digital assets by pointing the Guide Geometry path on the first page of the Operator Type Properties to some node inside your asset. For example, the Break SOP has its guide geometry set to the CUTTER_GUIDE node.
simayi
ah, I see! I looked at that window many times but somehow I missed it. This is perfect. Thank you very much for your help.
