loudsubs
I'm trying to gain some control over an RBD glue fracture sim. I have a sphere coming up through a fractured piece of "ground" (glue object). I want the immediate fracture to occur just where the sphere comes up through, and have gravity affect only the broken pieces. Leaving the rest of the glue object intact and mostly unmoved. I have a character coming up through the ground, then slowly moving forward, so I want to have extra control over the fracturing. At the moment, Im getting a nice break where I want, but then the entire glue object gets affected by gravity, which is not what I want. The method I am using right now is to create a point attribute in SOPs which spreads to the areas I want affected, and then use a 'modify data DOP' with a point expression to try and isolate the affected pieces via that attribute. I also dabbled with the group DOP and using that group in the gravity node, but the expression I was using: $tz > ch(animated plane position) was not working. Anyone have some advice on how to accomplish this? Thanks EDIT: I found a way by putting my point expression in the group DOP. Used the group DOP in the gravity DOP.
