Question about physically based rendering setup

Dear all,

When I was actually thinking about physically based rendering, I was wondering how to set it up in Houdini correctly.

If I use physically correct attenuation for the light , does the system unit matter ? Does the distance unit used by the light varies with the system unit? how to set up the object size concerning this respect so that physically correct lighting could be achieved?

Any advice would be appreciate ^-^
