POSITION OVERVIEW We are about to commence work on a high profile, live-action, FX heavy feature film, based at our Adelaide (Australia) office. We are seeking experienced Houdini FX TDs to join our team with an immediate start through to mid 2012. In this role you will use your past CG film experience to create a dramatic, dynamic, FX-heavy sequence, including fire, explosions, and FX-driven animation. You must be able to effectively communicate with other members of the CG team including animators, lighters etc. contributing your knowledge and expertise to achieve the highest quality output. RESPONSIBILITIES • Efficiently work to direction of VFX & CG Supervisor’s creative & technical briefs. • Create realistic FX animation and performance consistency across shots, inline with the design and shot brief. • Demonstrated ability to follow a brief. • Working with animation & lighting as necessary in order to meet FX animation objectives. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • Minimum 2 years Houdini experience. • Prior experience creating photo-real FX Elements for feature film. • Experience creating fire, explosions or with destruction sequences highly desirable (although not essential). • Experience working with dynamics an advantage.
