morzh
Hi Everyone, I am happy to introduce you my first tutorial for CMIVFX (and first in English) . This tutorial is about using Houdini's CHOPs and POPs to produce particle animations, driven by music (midi file). Balls from firing machine is flying and falling to the piano keys and the keys is producing music. Piano itself (and a firing machine too) has some "procedural modeling possibilities". I use MIDI In CHOP to extract all needed info to perform animation and than pull that info in POP network to drive particles using VEX code. Also there is manually created collisions from the floor and piano keys for the particles (also using VEX) + there are many hscript/python expression and python sop to set all the stuff properly. At the end of the tutorial digital asset is created and tested. I hope you will enjoy the tutorial and will use the techinques, i've described there. And it is very interesting for me to hear/view feedback from the people about this video.
