simulating robot arm

Hey guys,

I'm new to Houdini so bear with me here.

I'm trying to simulate something fairly simple here but not sure how to first approach it. I want to make something like a robot arm: geometry (boxes for now) linked together like a hinge but with a spring force (wants to maintain a certain angle between the hinge joint). I want to apply a force at the end of the arm and see the whole thing oscillate and respond to that force (kind of like a spring). How would I go about doing this?
