Jordan Walsh Posted September 17, 2012 Share Posted September 17, 2012 Im doing a splash in FLIP and want to have the resulting wake around the splash fade out quicker so I have created a volume for a mask, then im pulling that in with a sopscalarfield, plugged into a mask thats plugged in to the drag which is going in to the first input of the flipsolver. This seems to slow down the sim a lot. It spends a tonne of time on the gasexternalforces which seems to be only single threaded (because its going back to SOPs??) and is taking about 4-8 times longer than without the drag.
