Guest xionmark
Hi, Are there any OPs already defined in POPs or SOPs to read an i3d file to use vectors in the i3d file for vector fields? Or do I need to do this in VEX (or the HDK)? Thanks, Mark
Guest xionmark
Here's a mention of what I'm refering to on odwiki: http://odforce.net/odwiki/index.php/VectorFields Thx, Mark
old school
The answer is VEX where you can read i3d files and do whatever. You can use the iso SOP. It can directly read in i3D files and visualize them but that's it. No forces generated as it is strictly geometry at this point. -jeff

I've been writing the VEX functions for SOP/POP use, very interesting use of i3D files for things other than volumetric effects. --Mark
