John Svensson
Hi! This project is kind of a mix between two cmivfx tutorials, and a little more to that. http://cmivfx.com/st...Houdini Mograph http://cmivfx.com/st...ocedural Cities The core of the animation is a custom python node that takes the latitude and longitude coordinates of around 7000 cities from the openstreetmap database and maps them to cartesian xyz coordinates. I'm fairly new to Houdini and this is my first project I've worked on in it. Its really just 6 second animation, starting to get finished, I kind of feel that something maybe is missing or maybe I just should put down the least details and call it. However I'd love to hear your thoughts or point or opinions. Here it is. https://vimeo.com/71927111 Thanks! Ps. The composition is done in Nuke, and the back plate is provided by Andreas Blidell at http://multiproduktion.se/, and the actor is actually the photographer Kristoffer Battisti http://kristofferbattisti.com/ /John Edited August 7, 2013 by John Svensson
