wick3dParticle
I am having a difficult time locating information about this. If I were to drop an isooffset an output it as an SDF, I have the option to invert the sign on the construction tab. So my question is: if I were to output a VDB as an SDF, how would I go about doing a similar operation? I tried using a VDBcombine, and selecting the "invert A" operation with no success. I also tried negating the sign value, and fitting it to an inverted range in volume vops, but that too failed to return the results I'm looking for. Any info would be highly appreciated! ikarus
What's the context of you wanting to invert a vdb sdf?
wick3dParticle
Hi Raymond, Actually, I figured out my mistake. I was trying to invert a distance vdb in a volume vop in order to generate a gradient. But I just realized that I just as well can generate a gradient from a fog vdb, and that yields the proper results. Thanks, Ilan
