Tristan
Hi all, Having recently started using mantra at work, me (and others) are in the process of sucking up as much info about how mantra works as we can get our hands on. The official docs have been a bit disappointing in that respect, especially coming from prman where the docs are very extensive, often raising more questions than answers. I was glad to find this subforum dedicated to Houdini rendering, and am hoping you guys might be able to point the way to further info. The more detailed the better. As mantra is evolving quickly, a lot of what I've seen on the net (and even in the docs) is out of date making this search even more of a challenge for us newcomers. Any pointers to info appreciated in advance. Cheers, - Tristan
Guest tar
Not exactly what you want but might be helpful, a SideFx masterclass on H12 Mantra http://www.sidefx.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=2160&Itemid=
dennis.albus
A good place to get the most up to date information would also be the Houdini support. You've got the option to post questions in addition to bugs and rfe. Additionally you might get in touch with Jeff Wagner. He's very helpful and also present on these forums so he might be able to answer a lot of your questions here. Maybe you can just compile a list of specific questions. There might be a lot that can be answered here. -dennis
ikarus
In what way are the docs lacking in terms of rendering topics?
