radurock
Hello, I'm a beginner in houdini and I have an issue with a cloth sim. I cached then read the sim then I apply a UV unwrap node then I apply the material. The problem is that every frames the uv's change according to the deformation of the cloth and when I render out the sequence the textures are moving everyframe. Is there anyway to lock the uvunwrap to the first frame so that the textures stop moving? Thanks
rafaelfs
Can you post an example? I'm almost sure that if the UVs are created before the sim and the the upstream geo is not changing the UVs will remain the same after the simulation... Cheers
radurock
Thanks for the help rafaelfs.. I did a test and it works just fine if i do the uv unwrap before the sim. Sadly, noob me, did the sims first and when i was happy with the results I cached them and thought I can uv unwrap them after the sim. Any idea if it any way around this? Or do I just have to resim now? Thanks https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rbmvNP1Fd7A&feature=youtu.be
rayman
Create uvs and then just use AttributeCopy SOP from static geo with uvs to cached geo.
