zito
Hi let me ask you something. these pictures are showing Japanese food called natto natto's physical texture is sticky, which i'd like to generate. I'm going to create this with houdini. Would houdini FLIP or houdini Cloth be available to do this? im looking forward to sincere answers! thank you for reading my question. Sierra62
Hey Zito, this is a shot i would do with flip. First you will need to animate the sphere, then you are dealing with setting up flip using viscosity. To get the stringy effect I would also look at setting up a custom strain system for it. Good luck.
reny
here is my "rough" idea how I would approach it.1. do a first pass simulation or animation that nail the bean movement. maybe some constaint stuff(which I'm not familiar with) in event of string breaking or springy feel. 2. do a second pass with beans as deformed geo that interact with viscos fluid. This is interesting, would definitely try to do this when I get more comfortable with new Houdini.
reny
By rewatching the H13 Masterclass on particles, I saw something you would definitely interested. check 01:24:47 and be amazed how closely that example will help your case, cheers~
