sibarrick
Does anyone know where I can find information on the Houdini pic format. I seem to remember it being an rle type encoding. I'm specifically interested in how the extra channels are stored - eg a Pz deep raster channel. I've checked odwiki, but I need more indepth info than this really. Mario Marengo
Hi Simon, There should be an $HH/houdini/public/SidefxPic.tar.Z file in your installation. This should contain routines for reading and writing the .pic format. I haven't checked it out and it might be obsolete for all I know, but if that's the case, then I think SESI can make an up-to-date version available to you (at least that's the claim for the .geo library). Maybe the SESI folk who visit this forum can confirm? Cheers!
