briank1458
Hey guys, I'm pretty new to Houdini, and I don't know much about uv mapping. I'm working with an .obj model that didn't have UVs set up. What's the best way to go about creating the UV map for textures? I took a look at the Peter Quint UV basics videos, and it looks like the best way might be to select different parts of the body, group them, UVproject individual groups, and then initialize to best plane for the groups. Is this a sensible approach? Would this be the best way to go about it? Images of the model, model with just UVproject, and model with UVunwrap are attached. Thanks!
