Raman
greetings, just minor confusion i will be great full if you help me. today i shifted to H13 from H12 and found dop pop. But things are different here, In H12 we used to Put local variables like $F, $PT, $PR etc in pop source node. My problem is , like earlier in H12 pop, I used to put $NPR and $FF==1 in impulse activation and rate to emit particles equal to premitive number in first frame but here case is looking different and showing error. Can anybody clear it out to help me.
pbarua
$NPR is local variable for SOPs only. In DOPs you can't use SOP variables, so you have to use expression functions. In your case just use npoints().
Whatsinaname
Here's a nice introduction to particles in H13 where some of the topics are covered: http://forums.odforce.net/topic/20168-introduction-to-houdini-particles/
pbarua
And if you change "Emission Type" to "All Points", it'll emit exact number of points that source geometry have.
