Malf
Hey Houdini power users! So I'm using the 'OceanSpectrum' and 'OceanEvaluate' nodes together to generate the displacement/foam maps that it can, I'm then using those maps inside of Maya to render it all. The grid tile that I am generating is 500m*500m and an 8k resolution map is the highest that my computer can handle generating at a time. What would I would like to be able to do is split the 500m into 4*250m sections and then get 4*8k maps out for the same 500m grid size. I can split the input mesh you put into the ocean evaluate into 250 sections but the textures aren't dependent on the size of the geo you plug in but the grid size specified in the oceanSpectrum itself. I was wondering if anybody might know how to do this or has another way of getting around the foam map not having enough detail in it for large grid tiles. Cheers Malf.
