pyro shader and volume basic question

Hi All.

I have set up a very easy scene to get my head around the pyro shader and I already have an issue.

Setup is just a 2D volume with size 10 on x axis with density mapped from 0 to 10 across x .

In Geometry node test1 I am doing all the density remap inside the volumevop and everything works as I expect.

(fit density to go from 0-10 to 0-1 and then reshape with a spline ramp to give a hill shape)

In Geometry node test2 I am trying to do the same through the pyro shader but the result is not the same. So I guess I am missing something .

Please when you have some free time have a look in my hip file.

Thank you.

Hi guys,

Sorry to bring this up again but it really bugs me :)

Has anyone got the chance to check this issue?

Btw it doesn't have to be a pyro shader. Basically if I try to reshape the density at render time by using the fit and the ramp from SOPS  it doesn't behave the same.

Really wondering if thats a limitation or I have a fundamental misunderstanding regarding volumes and rendering .

Cheers!
