ch3
Hi, I am trying to render out deeps to use within nuke, but I can't get them to work properly and I am not sure if I am missing something, as it's the first time I am trying to do this out of the box. If I render using just 1 render sample (both rayTrace and microPolys) it looks as expected, but if I use any more than that, the deep points spread in Z, resulting in half transparent objects once I try to deepMerge them. I am writing out .exr files, no DCM Pre-Composite Samples, neither any extra rendering attributes on the mantra node. any ideas? (top view is with 1 sample, bottom is with 3)
Guest tar
Haven't seen that one but make sure to use the later versions of Nuke8 - they fixed up bugs
ch3
I just tried with nuke 8.0v5b28 and also nuke 9.0v4, but I get the same results. But in theory, should the deeps work straight out of the box between houdini and nuke, using exr? thank you
ch3
So that problem is with houdini 13.0.547, which is the latest build we have available here. I just tried with 14.0.201.13 and the problem seems to go away.
