thefix
waterShader_ocean_lookdev_v007.mov Has anyone achieved realistic attenuation with the Ocean Waves shelf tool? I'm a student trying to add attenuation to my ocean waves on a school project for CG Masters. Do I need the Surface SDF to get that? What I ended up with using the Surface SDF was a cube that renders black above the wave surface and doesn't appear to render any attenuation colour, despite adjusting the Attenuation Color & Density on the Oceansurface shader. The movie shows my ocean waves render before any attempt to add attenuation - attached to give you a sense of the geometry and settings on my file. I would expect a gradient of colour across the angled grid below the ocean surface if I had achieved attenuation. Unless I've done something wrong of course. Any help is greatly appreciated!
