snipercat8
hey, I have a question that troubled me a few days,I solved a scene from Pftrack and output to Maya for Modeling. after modeling I want to import into houdini. But they can't match very well.I tried ABC.FBX and Script, They always have a bit offset. I uploaded a maya file for test, someone can help me? THX MayaCameraToHoudini_test_.rar
davpe
its quite likely that in your maya camera you are using a parameter that is not supported by any of these formats (or not supported by houdini) and its contribution is neglected. both abc and fbx allways worked well for me. davpe
probably by not using that parameter camera transfers can be tricky so if you dont want to end up writing your own camera exporter then its good to find out which features you can transfer and then avoid using those you cant. these errors are usually caused by something like lens offset, zoom, crop and similar application specific features (not sure how theyre called in maya but i know that maya camera have a few like this).
