FLIP smoothing/remove popping

Hi,

I'm looking for a good way of smoothing my FLIP meshes. creating thin strands so no tanks/oceans fyi.

 

Currently just got optimal smoothing settings on VDBfromParticleFluid, and a VDBsmoothsdf, but im still getting excessive popping.

I was just wondering if there were any clever ways of smoothing the mesh based on particle size or velocity or something?
