Damo
Hi, I'm having trouble getting my pyro to collide completely with my geometry. From what I can see, it appears to be mostly working, but some of the explosion still makes it through my building onto the next floor. My collision volume looks good, can anyone point me in the right direction. Ta Edited September 23, 2015 by Damo
kungFu
Hi Damo, You may want advice on what you have but I would say better to use a vdb for a collision. sorry can't upload at the moment. covert polytoVDB SOP. drop resolution until it has your object represented. Select object make it collision object. inside the collision object DOP node select the RBD solver tab. Select use volume based collision Toggle off display geometry but toggle on use volume based collision detection Switch the mode to Volume sample Switch the method to by size change the division size to the same you used for the VDB. point the proxy volume to the VDB node directly (this overrides any other associations) ...and...check the pyro isn't penetrating the volume before it starts moving.
