Fostertron
Hi Guys, I've asked this in another thread but I think its a separate question to that thread. I'm trying to make the tankfluid look like the ocean waves that I'm matching it to. The oceanspectrums are matching nicely so that's not an issue. So I'll have 2 animation sequences, one of the splash tank and one of the oceanwaves. I'll then composite the 2 animations in Nuke. The last piece of the puzzle is making the tankfluid look like the waves (using Mantra). From what I can see, the oceanwaves consist of a wafer thin surface (displaced with maps) with the oceansurface shader assigned to it. This is then followed by an extrusion with the ocean volume applied to it? Do I need to emulate this to make it work? As in extract the top surface of the tank fluid and create an extrusion from this? Then assign the respective shaders to each? The uniformvolume shader is used for the tank simulation but I can't work out what it's assigned to compared to the oceanwaves. Here's an example of the body of water from Mantra: This is the last piece of the puzzle for me so I'll be so grateful to whoever can help! Thanks again to Atom and Cameron for their help so far Kyle Like This Quote MultiQuote Edit
