for each loop (not)cooking / attributes

Recommended Posts

Please, I have questions regarding the attached file.

SETATTRIB
/obj/sop_import/set_lastpoint_position
- setattrib sets only the first vector value (instead of all three)
- when I try to fiddle with the parameters, it seems to be "stuck" in the wrong settings ... is it because of some memory allocation? Or is it because of the for loop and some caching? Please how does this work? How can I "reset" it?
- also the "numpt" sometimes doesnt fetch :( I dont understand why just sometimes?

I have also question about the For Each Loop ... sometimes it doesnt "recook", the timeline is blue and even if i change some values in the setup, the change doesnt appear. Or it only "recooks" in the non-blue areas. Can I somehow force it to recook? Manual mode doesnt seem to recook. And ... sometimes the timeline doesnt even go blue. What should I learn to understand all this behaviour, please?

MATCHAXIS
/obj/sop_import/matchaxis
- in general, can I use @ attributes in all nodes in the 15.5?
- How do I know, whether the attribute has to be "detail" or "point" (because the transform node accepts only detail attribute, is it right?)

Thank you very much.

I found my mistake, I have to subtract 1 from the numpt.
Also, help says that: If writing to the current element, it is much faster to use the Bind Export VOP.

I am sorry for the confusions. But what about the "cooking" of the for loop? How should I do it, please?
And also the Matchaxis ... it doesnt seem to accept the @ attribute.

As regards the Matchaxis VOP ... I have tried to "Allow Editing of Contents" and rebuilt the VOP, so it reads my attribute now. The corrected and working file is attached.

Please, if anybody understands my other confusions about the "(not)cooking for loop" or "fiddle parameters without seeing any change", please give me a heads up, what tutorial or PDF or help urls should I study.
