shawn_kearney
Lava eruption with cooling. Forgot to turn off hibernation and only got first 192 frames. Will finish render tonight. Edited October 4, 2016 by shawn_kearney
Sierra62
I really like the motion you have there, very believable. The main area that could use some improvement would be the shading, the colour does seem to be just a gradient falloff. Keep up the good work, would love to see more of this. shawn_kearney
I'm really not very confident in Mantra yet. Any tips would be super appreciated. I think I have this set up with the Fireball shader. I wanted to explore shading it as a volume in order to simulate lava's quality of being lit from within. Now that I think of it, my temperature field should be scaled to the density gradient...

shawn_kearney
Made temperature greatest at the centers while also adding a "caldera width" parameter that prevents cooling near the eruption sight so that lava does not cool and clog itself. Timing and velocity not quite right.
