shawn_kearney
While playing with VDB fracture I discovered that can plug a VDB surface volume directly into a RBD simulation without having to first convert it into polygons/proxy volumes, but I've never seen anyone recommend doing it this way. Is there some disadvantage in doing this? It does seem that it might be a hair faster, though not by much, guessing because it does not have to generate collision geometry?
