Rendering frame out to 16 bit tif - correct settings?

Recommended Posts

Hi there

I need to save my rendered frame out as a 16 bit tiff  in an adobe rgb colorspace to bring into Photoshop.

The only way I've managed to do it is with the following settings, just wanting to check this is the best way?

tif compression - none

tif predictor - auto detect  - have no idea what that means?

tif bit depth - no forced override - selecting 16 bit unsigned didn't work not sure why tho maybe something to do with mantra working in 16 bit float?

no conversion to image formats colorspace

no output gamma

yes to the LUT.

This is giving me a 16 bit adobe rgb file.

I have no idea why I ended up in an adobe rgb color space? tho that's fine by me.

Guessing this is more complicated than colorspace management within a color managed photography workflow?

thanks

Nigel.
