mnordenstam
Hi all, Here's a simple question for you gurus out there, I have some particles and I want their colors to be the result of a color ramp lookup where the index is their $LIFE. But I can't find a color ramp POP or SOP to save my life! Surely Houdini allows you to create a color ramp somehow? I even tried making a ramp with CHOPs and have a point SOP looking up a color in the CHOP but couldn't figure out how to do that. CHOPs are strange... any help would be great! thanks, markus
RickWork
Hi, How about this: Append a colorPOP, click on the Ramp checkbox. For the Lookup parameter enter : $LIFE Cheers! /Rick
grasshopper
The Houdini 7 docs have an example of a ramp under the help for the Color POP. Load the HitId demo to see a ramp being used to vary the color according to $HITID
