Simple grains, dops, and collision help.

Okay so I am attempting to make a asset to tangle some wires. I thought that I could propagate a gain simulation along a path and each frame connect each grain to it's corresponding line. Because the grains would not intersect the wires wouldn't either. I am very new to dops (I prefer vex) and cannot seem to fix some problems. I cannot seem to figure out how to not display some static collision geometry outside of the dop network (I unchecked display geometry but it still displays outside dops). My pop grains sop does not seem to be working (particles still cross each other). And finally, I attempted to use the scatter sop to generate points  for the particle solver to use but I cant get rid of the guide geometry that spawns particles on the first frame. Any help with dops would be appreciated.
