Sybaris
Hi everybody, I started to learn Houdini a couple of days ago coming from Unity. I have to say that I'm impressed of the different approach that Houdini takes. But yesterday I spent almost the whole day with a problem that I cannot fix. I have two very simple shapes (a polygon and a quarter circle), want to merge them, skin them and finally extrude them. I'm joining them after the merge, sorting the points because they are mixed up, fuse them and finally put normals on them. The first pic is how the basic shape lookes like - looks like a perfect shape to me. The second pic is the corresponding network. As soon as I skin the polygon I get the chaos of the third pic, with points again being mixed up and with obviously overlapping traingles (the dark areas in the lower area). And of course, when I extrude this polygon I get an triangle explosion which can be seen in the fourth pic... :-( What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance! Sybaris
I found it myself - an Ends SOP was missing. Everything's perfect now. EDIT: And thanks for moving the thread! ;-) Edited April 26, 2020 by Sybaris
