Orient meshes along primitves

Hi,

I'm creating a surface plating system for a spaceship hull and I'm populating the plates with some small greeble detail.

the greeble aligns to the surface angle but gets oriented towards the world Z whereby id like them to be oriented to along the primitive they are placed on so they run parallel to the edges of plates and iam just not sure how to achieve this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Bear in mind I'm really new to houdini so you'll have to explain it pretty detailed as to what i need to do or show me by doing it in the hipnc files and ill learn by analyzing it.

Edit:
Ive attached another image to illustrate better what i mean. I distribute a mesh that reflects the point axis. I can get it to correctly determine the normal from the gemoetry its placed upon but i cant get X or Z to point along the same axis as edges go, they will just point into world X or Z

I hope the hipnc stores the Mesh i imported in from Maya, please let me know if it doesn't and the file doesnt work this way.
