masstapro
Found the autorig quite easy to get going, but want to now add stuff to my model. What's the best way to keep a helmet on the head but have it move using the autorig? ~Shawn
sibarrick
Use a fetch object to extract the transforms for the head bone and then parent your helmet to it. I think you will need world transform turned on for the fetch object.
masstapro
Yes! Thank you so much! I didn't know about the Fetch Object. I was looking for something inside of SOPs. Makes sense to keep it at Object level (parenting). I did have to select "Fetch World Transform". ~Shawn
Jordan
what about adding cloth object???
sibarrick
I've never worked with cloth, but if you look in the help and search for cloth there is loads of information in there. Sadly i couldn't find any clothing examples, but you will need to look at how to set up a cloth dops sim and use cloth constraints to attach it to your model. You might need more fetch objects to provide objects in the scene that you can constrain to, although may be able to directly use the objects in the autorig for it.
