1211094597@qq.com
Hello! I'm a beginner technical artist. Currently working on the procedural modelling part of Zeno(https://github.com/zenustech/zeno), which is not perfect yet, So I have some questions about the geometry structure of the procedural modelling, we know that Houdini is points-Vertex-Prim, points is like an upgrade of vertex concept in graphics, Vertices bind primitives to points. But other software is different like Blender is vertices-edge-face, Substance designer is vertices-Primitives, Zeno also Vertex as the most basic element, And vertex in Houdini is rarely used, mostly we use points. So I wonder why Houdini uses Points-Vertex structure. Because it is more free? or is has its necessary and better in some situations?
